The Lower Township Bureau of Fire Safety promotes Fire Safety and Prevention through Public Safety Education and Fire Safety Inspections. The Bureau of Fire Safety offers Fire Prevention programs to citizens all ages from pre-school to seniors, throughout the entire year. The Bureau of Fire Safety also performs fire safety inspections in all public buildings, in Lower Township (over 3,000 inspections annually) to ensure compliance with the New Jersey Uniform Fire Code as well as Lower Township Ordinances, which is paramount in avoiding death, injury and property damage resulting from fire or explosion.
