Registration Policies

    Priority Registration - Residents of Lower Township have a priority registration period (usually 1 or 2 weeks prior to open registration). Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity, as once registration is open, priorities are first-come-first-serve only. Registrations received prior to the appropriate registration period may be returned to the sender.

    Participation Limitations - Limits have been placed on the size of some programs' participants to assure quality instruction; registration is first-come-first-serve. You should make sure to register on time to assure yourself of a place in these programs. Registration must be made prior to anyone participating in any Lower Township Recreational program(s).

    Fees - Lower Township Residents, through property taxes, make a significant contribution to the operation of Lower Township Department of Parks and Recreation. Non-Resident fees are charged so non-resident participants can fairly contribute to the overall financing of the program(s). Fees are listed separately for Lower Township Residents and Out-of-Township Residents. A Lower Township Resident is defined as a person who lives and/or owns property within Lower Township or operates a business within Lower Township.

    Refunds - Your satisfaction is important to us. A full refund is automatic when classes/programs are canceled due to insufficient registrations. Refunds may be given in the event of unavoidable scheduling conflicts, personal emergencies, or dissatisfaction. All refunds will be considered on case-by-case basis and may be prorated. Please allow 3 weeks for processing.

    Program Transfers - Program transfers within the current brochure season will be allowed if a request is made to the Superintendent or Asst. Superintendent prior to the activity starting date, and if an opening still exists in the desired program. Transfers must be requested during regular office hours (7:00am-4:30pm).

    Cancellations/Modifications - The Lower Township Department of Parks and Recreation reserves the right to cancel, combine or divide classes/programs, to change time, date, or place of meeting, to change the instructor, and make any other revisions as deemed necessary.
